Rss_logo_2

Have you ever wondered what this logo means? This is an RSS feed logo for blogs and news sites.

This feed button allows you to subscribe to that favorite blog or news site. RSS stands for(Really Simple Syndication or Subscription). In the same way you would think of a magazine subscription, but free. How cool is that?

The video below is excellent to get you started with RSS feeds. Every time some one adds new information to their blog or news site you are automatically sent a post to your RSS home or library called a Reader. I use Google Reader but you can use others like: Bloglines, Newsgator or MY Yahoo.

This will save you time. You will start discovering new blogs and news in your niche market.

Network marketers who start today will wonder how they lived without it.

So what did you think? Are you ready to RSS?

"The Eye-Fi Card is a wireless memory card. It automatically uploads pictures from your digital camera to your PC or Mac and to your favorite photo sharing, printing, blogging or social networking site. No cables, no waiting, no hassles." ~ Eye- Fi

Boy, there's nothing like making my life easier. Is this too good to be true?  Now I can spend time recruiting and blogging instead of messing with tangled cables.

Eye-Fi connects with many popular sites.

Check out the latest Eye-Fi awards.

For less than $100, I'm thinking of taking the plunge into this wireless memory card.

Have you already added Eye-Fi to your blogging arsenal?

Podcasting is a Cinch

"The simplest podcast API ever. Call their special phone number: 646-200-0000.
It records the call. When you're done it creates an RSS 2.0 feed with an enclosure that's an MP3 of the call.  Permalink to this paragraph"- Dave Winer

"I like this new podcasting API from BlogTalkRadio."- Robert Scoble

Podcasts are gaining momentum.

Mobile podcasting  just made the world flatter. The field has been leveled. Now you don't have to be a techie to get your message out to the masses.

You don't have to buy all kinds of studio equipment.  Your mobile phone is your microphone and your car, library, rest stop become your studio.

No sign-up or sign-in.

"There are no additional changes attached to the service other than what your phone service charges you to call the NY-based telephone number."-Lisa Padilla

But, your phone number  is part of the RSS feed.

Which brings up a security issue and I'm sure BlogTalkRadio is all over it.

"Using Cinch is simple:

  1. Call (646) 200-0000
  2. Talk
  3. Subscribe or use as the RSS feed as an API - http://cinch.blogtalkradio.com/YOURPHONENUMBER

We provide the network, storage and feed."-BlogTalkRadio

"Thanks to everyone for the feedback on Cinch. The goal is to keep it simple and let developers build tools on top of the service. Dave said it best by calling it a simple podcasting API.
To address privacy and spoofing concerns we will introduce some added functionality in the next few days. However, the core functionality will remain unchanged. Users will not be required to register and create a user name or pin to use the service."- Kris Smith

If your phone number in the RSS feed concerns you,  check a few of other podcasting services that require sign-up or sign-in:

Audacity

Odeo Studio

Evoca

Hipcast

Utterez

Are these the best podcasting services?  What have you used?

Your Super Bowl Of Netwrol Marketing

Your Super Bowl of Network MarketingShare

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I love the underdog!

The New York Giants upset the undefeated New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

How? Hang in there, I'll will answer that in a minute.

The Super Bowl of Network Marketing is waiting for you too. I love being the underdog! So should you.

There will be 4 opponents that will try to keep you out of the end zone of success.

Self-doubt, Fear, Comparison, and Procrastination.

What will it take get to the top of your network marketing game? Is it your brute strength, stellar coaching, CIA internet intelligence, Iron Curtain podcasts, or overpowering blogs?

What does it take to get to the top?

The intensity of your DESIRE and DETERMINATION will determine your level of success.

I want you to close your eyes. Believe me, this is fun.

We think in images. If I say frog , what do you see? You don’t see the letters f-r-o-g in your brain, you see a green, slimy, four, legged amphibian.

Now, imagine yourself standing in the largest football stadium you have ever been in. You are on the newly chalked 50 yard line. Your muscles are flexing, your heart is pounding and your stomach is racing into your chest. Do you smell the popcorn? Hear the screaming raucous fans?

You need to see yourself in the Super Bowl Of Network Marketing.

Chris Widener stated - "It doesn't matter what your IQ is.
It doesn't matter what your current resources are.
it doesn't matter what you currently earn.
It doesn't matter where your family came from. Nothing in your current circumstances matter in whether or not you can achieve your destiny!"

#1- You just started this incredible new business and after a week, or even a day you encounter a screaming linebacker ready to take you down– SELF DOUBT!

You begin to wonder what in the world you signed up for and how you are going to make it happen. Every negative statement comes back to you. “You can’t sell!” “What are you doing? You should be finding another part time job!” "I told you so."

You hear the laughter and see the sneers and you begin to wonder if you are right for this.

Right now, I want you to say these words…I am a Champion!

I don’t care where you are right now, you may be in your kitchen, your office, bathroom, your car or a coffee shop, say these words…

I AM A Champion! I am confident. I am creating my own footprints in the sand! I am filled with JOY!

#2- FEAR is bearing down hard and is ready to knock you down where FEAR believes you deserve to be.

Stand mountain strong. Do you have a game plan? What action steps have you taken in the first 90 days?  Have you studied your company training? Are you attending training calls or weekly meetings?  Have you booked your first home party or signed up your first distributor?  Action, Action, Action!

FEAR will attack your blind spot, the worst place to get hit. You can’t see it coming.

I encourage you to take responsibility for your fear and your life. No one is responsible for you except YOU!

Many of us have a fear of success. We feel overwhelmed because we are afraid to take that step which will move our business forward.

Fear will paralyze you. You'll find yourself flat on your back, blaming the trash talking  defensive end (your sponsor, the company, the product) for your failure.

All Network Marketers at some point have been there. There will be dips in the road. Count on it! Make a decision to stop whining, only then can you take responsibility for your decisions, your mistakes, your success, it belongs to you and NOT a matter of circumstances, environment, or people around you.

Yell these words-

I AM A Champion! I am CONFIDENT! I am creating my own footprints in the sand! I am filled with JOY!

You are one step closer to the goal line and SUCCESS!

#3- COMPARISON is breathing down your neck.

Who do you think you are rushing so quickly down the Network Marketing field?

He wants to smash you into the ground.

You just read that someone made an advancement in the company and you're struggling to get your 1st team member.

How did they do that when you have been in the company for as long as they have and you have worked just as hard as they did?

That just isn’t fair! You’re right. Life isn’t fair.

What are you going to do to change it? Sound familiar? Comparing yourself to someone else will set you up for failure every time. Jealousy is a deadly poison.

Jim Rohn states that the 2 killers of success are impatience and greed. We want it right now and it had better be bigger than any one else's!

Dave Ramsey, financial guru and self-professed weirdo, one of our mentors, states that we “buy things we don’t need with money we don’t have to impress people we don’t like.” Now that is comparison.

Comparison will knock you out of the game. Focus on where you are going. Focus on your why, your goals, and your end destination. Put on the horse blinders and gallop forward.

Determine what is distracting you – postings on message boards, yahoo groups, the company newsletter, phone calls from your upline, team members.

Whatever it may be, take a break and get away, and FOCUS on your goal post and what you can and will do to get there.

Yell these words out loud -

I AM A Champion! I AM CONFIDENT! I am creating my own footprints in the sand! I am filled with JOY!

You did it! Congratulations.

#4- This next giant may be the biggest roadblock of them all. Brace yourself…

He's standing  with his arms crossed across his massive chest, a toothless grin on his face, and he is waiting for you to get by him.

Man, he is a chiseled Greek statue. His name is P-R-O-C-R-A-S-T-I-N-A-T-I-O-N!

He has 3 little stooges for friends. Have you heard of them? “Coulda, shoulda, and woulda”.

Tackle procrastination now!

Buy a calendar and use it.

Set a reminder in your outlook or yahoo calendar.

Create a check list.

Find an accountability partner.

Tomorrow is the today you talked about yesterday.

Yell these words-

I AM A Champion! I AM CONFIDENT! I am creating my own footprints in the sand. I am filled with JOY!

Congratulations! You are on your way to defeating the most awesome of opponents and are well on your way to winning the Super Bowl of Network Marketing!

What holds you back? How do you overcome your road blocks?

WTC Scrap Metal To USS New YorkShare

"Never Forget."

The motto of the USS New York is seared in the hearts of all Americans.

This "never forget" and "never give-up" attitude built this great nation.

God Bless the USA, a song by Lee Greenwood,  echoes these words.

And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.

And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.

And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today."

You may be scraping together money to launch your new business.

Your attitude will make or break your business. Today people are breaking down the doors to start a new on the greatest country on the planet.

USS New York
Claim:   Image shows the warship USS New York, built using steel from the World Trade Center.

Status:   True.

With a year to go before it even touches the water, the Navy's amphibious assault ship, USS New York, has already made history. It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center. It is the fifth in a new class of warship — designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be   delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft. Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite, La., to cast the ship's bow section.
When it was poured into the molds on Sept. 9, 2003, "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there.

2007 Network Marketing Book Of The Year- My Top Pick

  • Jan 28, 2008
  • Post a comment

Every once in awhile, a network marketing book crosses my desk that I can't put down. Believe me, I've seen them all, the good, the bad, and the ugly. This is my pick for 2007 Network Marketing Book of the Year.

"John is the big thinker in this industry, the guy who always takes the high road. Read and Learn...it's well worth the journey"-Seth Godin, author of Permission Marketing and Purple Cow

JoZen_of_mlmhn David Mann's Book, The Zen Of MLM, is a no nonsense  guide for the network marketer.Get this book into the hands of anyone investigating the business of network marketing for the first time. I wish I had this under my pillow when I began my journey.

John David Mann was co founder of, and senior editor of Upline Magazine; editor and chief of Network Marketing Life- styles; and editor in chief at Networking Times. During the 1990's he built a network marketing organization of over 100,000 distributors.

I found out right away that John David Mann knows the Network Marketing Industry inside and out.

What impressed me most were the practical strategies, easy readability, and John's integrity.  In any industry, those qualities are key to its success and the reader's acceptance. There is nothing worse than lugging a thesaurus around while reading a network marketing book full of $20 words and half truths.

Short chapters are key!  Take it to the gym, the doctor's office, birthing room(my husband's idea) and in the car while you are waiting in traffic. Check out these chapter titles.

The Ultimate secret to Handling Objections

Stop, Look, Listen

Increase you R.Q.

The Art of Presentation

Telling The Truth

Ignore the memo: Fly anyway

Cutting A new Path

You will not find a more honest and personable author. He's been there and done that.

This is a road map to successful Network Marketing. This book is a number one choice for our new distributors.

Truths by John David Mann -

"Network marketing prepares you for the real world. Network marketing teaches people basic, critical life skills. I tell people, stay with it for 5 years and you'll be equipped to survive in the real world of business- you'll be a better person."

"A network marketing company affords people to make a difference in people's lives."

" How will the world be different as a result of me being there?"

" No hype, No theory, No razzle-dazzle. Just two decades of experience and insight."- Back Cover Blurb

What will be your legacy?

If you have read the Zen of MLM, what challenged or empowered you?

Be A Go-GiverShare

John David Mann and Bob Burg have written a blockbuster.

“These five simple principles will help you achieve your goals and fulfill your dreams!”
—Brian Tracy, author, The Psychology of Achievement

—Seth Godin, author, The Dip

“Not since Who Moved My Cheese? have I enjoyed a parable as much as this. You owe it to yourself to read The Go-Giver and share its message with those who matter most to you. It is a beautiful book that will touch your soul and inspire your heart.”
